Misty Morning along a Queensland Highway

Foggy morning of a farm along a highway in Queensland, Australia was an inspiration from Bipphy Kath's photo. Took me about 6 hrs over 2 nights to pastel paint on cranson paper and dare I say, it was rather relaxing except for the 2 sets of gates which offer me a little challenge. At first the sunrise was sort of odd looking when I was in the process of building the coloured layers but eventually it unfolded and I was delighted with the end result. I applied a little artistic interpretation of the fog as I wanted a painting that was vibrant. With some experience, I made sure that the sunset colours were kept separate otherwise the result would have been disastrous .
